The reduction of discharges of environmentally harmful chemicals to the sea from the petroleum activities on the Norwegian Shelf continues.
According to the operating companies' annual reports on emissions to air and discharges to sea, there was a significant reduction in NmVOC in 2006 and a slight reduction in CO2 and NOx emissions.
